MINTO, ND (KXNET) — A North Dakota Department of Transportation snowplow was hit twice while plowing on Interstate 29 around 3:40 p.m., December 19 near Minto. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the snowplow was actively plowing the northbound left lane with its emergency lights on when it was hit in the rear by a 72-year-old Edinburg man driving a Ford F150. The Ford then went into the median with disabling damage on the front. Snowplow struck in Fargo by driver attempting to pass it Then, a Kia Sorrento, driven by a 56-year-old man, drove into the snow fog from the crash and hit the rear of the snowplow. The Kia and the snowplow stopped on the northbound shoulder. All drivers and passengers involved were not injured in the collision. The highway patrol is investigating the crash. The highway patrol also wants to remind all drivers that during inclement weather, they should yield to snowplows. Operators work tirelessly to make sure all the roads are clear and safe for travel.
