8 arrested, guns seized during Visalia targeted operation

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Multiple people have been arrested and several firearms seized during a targeted operation in Visalia, the Visalia Police Department said Thursday.
Officers say multiple units within the police department, including their Violent Crimes and Special Enforcement units, carried out a targeted operation across the city.
Police report eight people were arrested as a result, and four firearms were seized during compliance checks at 29 locations.
According to the police department, the suspects were identified as 18-year-old David Casarez, 20-year-old Juan Rivera, 18-year-old Luis Arredondo, 36-year-old Bobby Lee, 27-year-old Daniel Flores, 28-year-old Jimmy Briones III, 47-year-old Armando Arellano and 20-year-old Andrew Leyba. All suspects were arrested in connection with multiple charges.
Additionally, officers say the items seized during the operation include cocaine packaged for sale, cash, packaging materials, guns, ammunition, one loaded 9mm handgun with a high-capacity magazine, a handgun and marijuana.
