Coalinga man arrested in firearms and narcotics investigation

COALINGA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man has been arrested following an illegal sales and possession of firearms and narcotics investigation in Coalinga Thursday, the city's police department said.
Officers say they, along with the Fresno County Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) and the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations Crisis Response Team, served search warrants at several locations including the 700 block of East Pleasant, 200 block of Pacific and 300 block of North Fourth.
According to police, the search warrants were based on an ongoing investigation that involved the illegal sales and possession of firearms and narcotics by known gang members.
As a result, investigators say 39-year-old Coalinga resident, Daniel Ray Sanchez, was arrested under suspicion of firearm possession.
