DERBY, Kan. (KSNW) - A crash near Derby that injured three men is under investigation. According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash just before 5 p.m. Thursday near 55th Street and Oliver Street. Preliminary investigation showed that a Ford Focus was driving southbound on Oliver when it collided with a Nissan Xterra that entered the intersection after stopping at a stop sign. The impact caused both vehicles to roll. The Ford contained two occupants: A 20-year-old male driver and a 19-year-old male passenger—both sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but he is expected to recover. Fire at Bradley Fair under investigation Sedgwick County Dispatch initially told KSN that two people received potential serious injuries and one person received potential critical injuries. The SCSO is investigating the crash, including whether impairment may have contributed. No other details have been released at this time.
