LAWRENCE TWP. — Marvin McNeil continued a strong start to his senior season with 17 points and the Lawrence High boys basketball team defeated Trenton, 55-49, on Thursday night. This marked the second straight season Jeff Molinelli’s club got the better of the Tornadoes. Noah Johansen and Josh Wilson had 15 points each for the Cardinals (2-2), who have won two straight. Juan Sanchez paced three players in double figures for Trenton (1-1) with 15 points. Aivaye Ingram scored 14 and Thomas Munoz added 12. WW-PN 53, Hopewell Valley 50 PLAINSBORO — Malachi Jeffers-Viera netted 19 points, Ryan Jean-Baptiste tallied 12 and Ronit Joneja contributed 11 as the Knights (2-0) held off a fourth-quarter charge by the Bulldogs (1-1) to remain unbeaten. Kyle Yadamiec scored 14 points and Ethan Rich had 14 for Hopewell, which outscored North, 24-13, over the final eight minutes to make it interesting after the home team built a 14-point lead through three quarters. Notre Dame 66, Steinert 56 HAMILTON — Will Foley’s impressive start to the season continued with 22 points, Miles Rancan added 12 and Josh Gatete finished with 11 as the Irish (3-1) knocked off the Spartans (0-2). Cinnaminson 74, Bordentown 43 BORDENTOWN — Drew Harvey poured in 24 points, Colin Parrish added 16 and the Pirates (1-0) speared the Scotties (0-1) in the opener for both BCSL clubs. Chase Martin led Bordentown with 20 points. Holy Cross Prep 62, No. Burlington 38 COLUMBUS — Manny Doku put in 21 points and the Lancers (1-0) opened their slate with an easy victory over the Greyhounds (1-1). Tarun Aravind led NBC with 16 points. Westtown 53, Peddie 44 POTTSTOWN, Pa. — London Carson had 11 points and Will Warren added 10 for the Falcons (5-6), but they dropped their opening game at the Mercer Invitational played at the Hill School.
