(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A Colorado Springs man says the Grinch paid his family a visit. On Saturday night, someone walked up to his front yard and started destroying his family's Christmas decorations. The alleged Christmas crime was all caught on camera. Watch in the video player below: Jaream Ross said he was inside watching a movie with his family when it happened. "I thought that I just had a fuse blown. I ended up leaving the house, and I saw one of my Christmas lights was on the ground. So, I knew something was up," said Ross. He checked his security cameras, and saw what appeared to be someone stabbing his inflatable Santa and cutting his lights. "It was definitely a Grinch moment. The Grinch came and struck our beautiful home and left us without lights," said Ross. He said he's been puzzled ever since, wondering who would do such a thing. "We're supposed to be the light and light people up, and not dim the light and take those lights away. I felt like he put a damper on our Christmas, and I didn't like having to tell my kids," said Ross. "They were so sad about it. They said, 'why would somebody do that? Are they hatin' dad?'" Although he's tried to look at the bright side, there are questions he's struggled to answer. "It's unfortunate because you never expect someone to attack your lights, like, this is Christmas," Ross said. "Usually whenever they do something like that, it doesn't have anything to do with you. It more has to do with them. They might have cut our lights, outside of our house, but they can't cut the light inside. We're still going to move forward. We're going to put some more lights back up." There was a survivor in the Christmas catastrophe--a cute little snowman sitting next to the Santa. Ross said you can deflate his Santa Clause, but you can't deflate his Christmas Spirit. Ross said he has filed a police report. He believes the value of the items destroyed is around $200.
