2 arrested, AK47 style rifle found during search of Arvin home: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Two people were arrested and multiple weapons were seized Wednesday after the Kern County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of illegal firing of a weapon in Arvin.
Jose Cruz, 23, and a juvenile were arrested by sheriff's deputies in the Gang Suppression Unit after a search warrant was served in the 2500 block of Nora Way in Arvin. They were arrested for participation in a criminal street gang, gang member in possession of firearms and possession of high capacity magazines.
Sheriff's officials said deputies found an AK-47 style rifle, a GSG .22 caliber style rifle, a 10 mm Glock handgun, a 9 mm Sig Sauer M18 handgun, numerous rounds of ammunition and high capacity magazines.
Cruz is being held on $85,000 bail and is due in court on Friday.
