Hour by Hour // A close look at the upcoming conditions » Evening temps will be in the mid 30s across the region. | | BEACH AND BOATING FORECASTS TONIGHT Partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight, but we'll stay dry...it'll be a little colder with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s. FRIDAY We may get a little sun to start the day on Friday, but clouds will thicken. We'll be tracking a strengthening area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast Friday morning. That low heads northeastward through the morning and afternoon with some rain showers developing over Southern New England during the afternoon. Some wet snow is possible in northern Rhode Island. As the low begins to pull away and colder air moves in, rain may flip to snow toward the south coast. A coating of snow is possible in spots...perhaps a little more over eastern Massachusetts (Plymouth County). Highs Friday afternoon will be in the low 40s. LOOKING AHEAD Cold and frigid for Saturday with highs in the mid 30s. There could be a quick snow shower Saturday, but most of the day should be dry. Saturday also marks the arrival of winter (and it will feel like it!).
