NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Skies are clear Thursday evening and temperatures will be dropping through the night. Look for upper 30s to low 40s north and mid to upper 40s south by Friday morning. Friday afternoon will be nice as highs top out in the mid 60s with plenty of sun. Winds will be picking up later in the day as the next cold front moves through. This front will not produce rain but will bring much cooler weather with it heading in to the weekend. Look for lows around freezing both Saturday and Sunday mornings to the north with mid to upper 30s south. Daytime highs will only warm into the 50s with plenty of sun through the weekend. Warmer air begins to move back in early in the week as we see a return to spring-like conditions heading to Christmas.
