Man charged for shooting security guards outside Third Street club: MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The man accused of shooting two security guards outside of a club on Third Street earlier this month has been taken into custody.
Andre Sherrod, 57, is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

According to reports, on December 10, Sherrod walked up to Lucille's Blues and Diner where two security guards were standing outside. He was denied entry to the club because he was allegedly intoxicated and would not submit to a search.

Sherrod then went back to his car and got a gun. He fired multiple shots at the security guards as he fled the scene.
Police say security guard Quintrease Rhodes was shot in her left hand and arm. Jayden Logan, the other guard was shot in each of his thighs.
Both of the victims were taken into custody following the shooting.

According to police, Rhodes is a convicted felon and was in possession of a firearm. She also has a criminal history of Aggravated Assault with a guilty plea last year in October.

Logan was in possession of a gun that was reported stolen out of Pontotoc County, Mississippi back in May, police say. The weapon had a small metal lever known to make the firearm automatic.
Rhodes was charged with Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, and Logan was charged with Theft of Property to wit: Handgun and Prohibited Weapon to wit: Machine Gun.
