INDIANAPOLIS — Interstate 65 is completely shut down for southbound commuters due to a deadly vehicle fire. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the vehicle fire occurred near mile marker 102.9 on the southbound side of Interstate 65. INDOT maps show that northbound traffic is also being affected. Drivers are asked to avoid the area as state police shut down I-65 south at I-465. ISP Sgt. John Perrine said the southbound closure will be "very extended" and asked drivers for patience. At this time, no additional details have been released. This is a developing story.
