RANDOLPH, N.C. (WGHP) — Another man is facing charges in connection with the homicide of a Winston-Salem man who was missing for months before anyone was charged. Francisco Trejo Gonzalez, 19, of Winston-Salem was indicted by a Randolph County grand jury on Dec. 2 on one count of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. He is accused of helping Jaekob Shane Hill, the man charged with the murder of Thomas Kilpatrick Burton Jr., try to escape law enforcement. According to Gonzalez's indictment, he "did knowingly assist [Hill] in attempting to escape and in escaping detection, arrest and punishment by assisting in the disposal of property belonging to Thomas Kilpatrick Burton Jr., cellular devices and by driving him and Jaekob Shane Hill away from the area" after Hill allegedly killed Burton on July 29, 2024. Gonzalez is the fourth person charged in Burton's death. Family of TK Burton speaks after 2nd arrest connected to his death Burton, 30, who had recently become a father, was first reported missing on July 29 after being last seen at a Citgo Gas Station in Winston-Salem. On Sept. 16, Randolph County deputies found human remains on a property off Rob Cruthis Road in Archdale. Those remains were later identified as Burton's. The property owner, Beau Martin, 31, was charged with felony failure to report a death and concealment. Caelob Trey Teal, 26, was charged with accessory after the fact on Oct. 31, the same day Hill was charged with first-degree murder. Teal and Martin were both indicted on Nov. 12 for accessory after the fact, and Hill was indicted for the murder charge. Their respective indictments claim that Teal assisted with the disposal of Burton's body, and Martin helped dispose of the weapon used in the crime and threatened witnesses.
