KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — The Kyle Police Department said it arrested a man on Dec. 10 related to the stalking of a 13-year-old girl at a local convenience store. KPD said 29-year-old Daniel Duran was being held at the Hays County jail on charges of stalking and resisting arrest. According to police, video footage showed Duran following the victim through the store before leaving and waiting for her outside. “Footage then shows him chasing the victim as she exited the store and attempted to run home,” KPD said. Following the incident, Kyle police said officers were able to quickly find and arrest Duran. “Child safety is our top priority,” said Dr. Jeff Barnett, Kyle Police Chief. “We encourage all parents and guardians to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. Together, we will keep the children of our community safe.”
