STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- A driver was arrested after escaping from officials in Stafford County on Tuesday, the sheriff's office said.
In a post, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said that a deputy was driving on Telegraph Road around 10:10 a.m. when he saw a motorcycle driving without a license plate.
He tried to pull over the motorcyclist, but the driver turned around and took off after stopping, ignoring verbal commands to stop.

The deputy was not able to find him immediately, but he spoke to witnesses and learned that the suspect was 18-year-old Jonathan Cruz of Fredericksburg.
SCSO deputies went to a neighborhood in North Stafford where they knew Cruz was.
"There, they not only located Cruz, but his motorcycle, now with a dead battery. No chance to flee this time," the post read.
SCSO said that Cruz could not give deputies a reason for trying to escape.
Cruz was arrested and charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, driving without a motorcycle endorsement and driving without any license plates displayed.
