Leaders at the Salvation Army said around 1,300 families signed up for the event and brought home toys for more than 3,000 kids. Officials said the donations came from two major sources: Toys for Tots and their own Angel Tree program.

"Every kid gets more than toys you know. They get two toys per kid, plus stocking stuffers, plus gloves and hats, plus blankets, plus books and games. So, they get all of that either for their family or each individual kid 13 and under," said Major Rick Starkey, director of operations. "I just love being able to know every family that comes through here is going to have these toys under the tree on Christmas morning."
The event isn't over yet. Thursday will be its last day.
