Springfield police investigating deadly shooting on Baldwin Street

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield police are actively investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday evening.
According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, crews were called to the 0-100 block of Baldwin Street at approximately 4:35 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and was immediately brought to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died.
The case is being investigated by the Springfield Police Department Homicide Unit, in coordination with the Hampden County DA's Murder Unit.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward. Tips can be shared by contacting Springfield detectives at 413-787-6355. For those who wish to remain anonymous, tips can be submitted via the Text-A-Tip program by texting the word “SOLVE” followed by the information to CRIMES (274637).
