Diego Pavia granted preliminary injunction to continue college career

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Diego Pavia may be back playing college football in 2025. On Wednesday, the U.S. District Court of Middle Tennessee has granted a preliminary injunction for Pavia's motion that argued his year's spent in junior college should not count towards his Division I eligibility.
The NCAA can still challenge the court's ruling. For now, Pavia is eligible to play in 2025.
2024 marked the fifth season that Pavia had participated in some form of college football. Following his high school days at Volcano Vista, Pavia began his college journey at New Mexico Military Institute. Following two years at NMMI, Pavia went to New Mexico State as a junior college transfer. The quarterback played for two seasons at NMSU before transferring to Vanderbilt in 2024.
In November, Pavia filed a lawsuit against the NCAA arguing a rule surrounding junior college eligibility violates antitrust law.
