HONOLULU (KHON2) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has released an additional $250 million to the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) as part of a grant agreement signed earlier this year, U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) announced today. With this funding, HART will have more resources to complete the rail line and offer the people of Honolulu additional travel options,” said Schatz, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation.
