But thanks to the love, patience, and care from the staff and volunteers, Cowie has made tremendous progress. Despite being in the shelter for over a year, Cowie has continued to search for an ohana to take a chance on her. While she can be shy around new people, a little patience and plenty of treats will win her over, and soon she'll be your best friend. Wags N’ Whiskers: Alii Cowie has become a fan favorite at Maui Humane Society, with her own fan club, "Club Cowie." She loves spending time in staff offices, chewing on plush toys, and getting cuddles and kisses from her club members. Cowie also enjoys playing with her doggy pals, especially big "bubba" boys.
