MINOT, ND (KXNET) — In this edition of Director's Cut, we're learning about the October production numbers, and why the number of barrels per day was lower than in September. In October, 100 wells were permitted, up 11 from September. 331 wells were waiting on completion, and an additional 95 were completed. Gas production was also down about 4.1% due to the wildfires throughout the state. In total, North Dakota produced more than 36 million barrels of oil per day, which is more than 1.1 barrel per day in October and 1.2 barrels per day in September. Murder suspect arrested in northwest Minot "That is down about 520 thousand barrels from September to October, and about 22,000 barrels a day for the month," says Nathan Anderson with the Department of Mineral Resources. "This is largely due to the wildfires that occurred starting late in the first week of October." Oil production numbers also set a new all-time high record at 19,334, and they are up to the revenue forecast of 7%. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox.
