Monroe County reaches new PBA contract agreement with MCSO
Dec 18, 2024
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Monroe County Legislature has approved an agreement during a meeting Tuesday settling a new contract with the Monroe County Sheriff Police Benevolent Association.
This new contract will cover five years starting on January 1, 2025. The contract increases pay, a health care plan, an opportunity to work 12-hour shifts for certain positions, and adds incentive pay based on military experience to recognize veterans.
This marks the 7th bargaining agreement Sheriff Baxter and his negotiating team have settled since 2018, and the 5th agreement with MCSO since County Executive Bello took office in 2020.
The PBA's current contract is set to expire at the end of the year, and settling this contract ensures that the Sheriff's deputies are not working out of contract.
We've reached out to the county for more specifics on the wages increases inside of the contract and are waiting to hear back.
