EAST BROOKFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A puppy who recently suffered from an attack by another dog resulting in losing his eyesight, is recovering and has since been adopted.
Ribbet's story was first shared in November by Second Chance Animal Services when he was adopted but rehomed by his original adopted family, in violation of their adoption agreement. In the new home, the three-month-old Labrador Retriever puppy was attacked by a larger dog, resulting in a fractured skull and severe damage to his eyes.

Veterinarians at Second Chance’s Community Veterinary Hospital in Worcester had to remove both his eyes and said that his fractured skull had healed properly. During recovery in foster care, his new family decided to adopt him.
Ribbet's story was shared in an effort to remind pet owners of the adoption policy at Second Chance. Adopters are required to contact them if they’re unable to keep a pet. Precautions are put in place to prevent tragedies such as meeting all household family members, including pets.
