ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – Six people, including two with warrants, were arrested for allegedly shoplifting during a police operation intended to reduce retail theft during the holiday season. On Tuesday, the Enfield community police officers along with the retail theft task force for the Connecticut State Police conducted an operation in the Enfield shopping district. They were able to arrest five people in the act of committing larceny, said the Enfield Police Department in a news release. They say that theft creates high-priced items, employment loss, and store closures.
