SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in May, the Savannah Police Department (SPD) said on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of Alabama Avenue for a ShotSpotter report around 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
Upon arriving, police found 19-year-old Laron Ashley unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound, SPD said.
Ashley was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Bernard Wolfolk, 20, has been charged with aggravated assault and felony murder in connection with the homicide, officials said.
