CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A log truck flipped on a Chesterfield County roadway on Wednesday, fully shutting it down.
The crash took place the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 18 on River Road near Richmond Road, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The scene is in Chesterfield near the Amelia County line.
As of 5:11 p.m., all lanes -- both eastbound and westbound -- are closed.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area as first responders work to clear the scene.

8News reached out to Chesterfield Police and Fire officials for more information. According to a police spokesperson, the crash involved a log truck that overturned. No other vehicles were involved and no one was hurt.
