NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department have announced the arrest of a man in connection with a mass shooting during a second line in the St. Roch area. On Nov. 17, the NOPD reported that multiple people were shot during the Nine Times second line in the 1800 block of Almonaster Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Following an investigation, NOPD detectives said they identified 32-year-old Alex Harris as a suspect in the investigation. New Orleans police identify suspect in fatal shooting of Cox employee According to police, Harris and another person got into an argument when they allegedly began shooting at each other. NOPD officials said nine bystanders were wounded. On Friday, Dec. 13, Harris was taken into custody. He faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm, illegal discharge of firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm at a parade. Additionally, the NOPD announced the arrest of 36-year-old Tavi Roach. According to police, Roach was arrested following the shooting after police allegedly connected him with a stolen car that was seen leaving the scene. Six suspects sought in French Quarter shooting Roach faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen auto.
