BELTON, Mo. -- A woman is concerned her identity may be in jeopardy after she says a thief stole her purse while inside the license office in Belton. She left the bag in her car when she went inside. Kennedi Siebert said a thief stole her $5,000 purse outside the DMV in Belton, but she said that's not the most concerning item the thief got away with. “My ID, my birth certificate, my social security card, like all of my information for my identity,” Siebert said as she explained the items stolen. Belton woman's valuables, purse stolen out of car at DMV Siebert and boyfriend Nathaniel Woods walked into the license office in Belton on Friday, where she said she left the Chanel purse locked in the car with a friend. After a while, she said that that friend came inside to use the restroom and talk. “He didn't lock the car back,” Siebert said. When they returned to the vehicle, her bag was gone, including the items with sensitive personal info she had inside, like her ID, social security card and birth certificate. “I was just freaking out. I was worried that somebody was going to steal my information, or something because I only imagine the person who stole it,” Siebert said. “They were brave enough to steal it, so I can imagine what they would do with my information.” Police said a few hours had gone by before they noticed the purse was missing. Police claim they took a report the next day. They said at this time, there's no suspect information to share. "I was like so panicked," Siebert said. "It was upsetting I was just freaking out because I knew all of my identity was in there, and everything I was just like so worried.  I was so worried, that's the main thing I was worried about." The purse is a black Chanel bag with gold detailing, which was a gift from her mom. It kind of meant a lot to me. It just got stolen." It was upsetting,” Siebert said. “Return my things if you can.”
