MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - A Packers legend is continuing to work with his foundation to help families in the Green Bay and Fox Valley region. Former wide receiver Donald Driver and the Donald Driver Foundation teamed up with Network Health executives on Wednesday to provide families in the area with meals during the holiday season. Green Bay Packers players greet patients, staff at Bellin Hospital with treats and hot cocoa Driver and Network Health CEO Coreen Dicus-Johnson, along with Network Health employees met with multiple non-profits in the area to provide certificates that can purchase meals for about 100 families. Driver emphasized the importance of helping those who may not have what others have during the holiday season. "We're excited that we get to touch those individual's lives," Driver said. "We just want to give people what we're going to have during the holiday season." Dicus-Johnson said the memories around the table during the holiday season are special, and their goal is to make sure more people can make them. Over 700 pairs of pajamas donated, nearly $25k raised at Menasha’s Community Clothes Closet "If we can have some small part of making the holidays a great memory for families in need, that's exactly what we want to do," Dicus-Johnson said.
