We finally were able to enjoy some sunshine on Tuesday! When you combined the sun with temperatures still above average, it was a nice December day! Skies were different though this morning, as a weak weather system moved through the area. We saw some scattered rain/snow showers, but overall, the impacts from this system were minimal. We were also tracking clouds this afternoon, but there remains the chance for a stray lake effect snow shower, as a result of northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph. Our high temperatures will reach the upper 30s, which is cooler compared to the past few days around here. Northwest winds keep a slight snow shower chance in play until around midnight tonight. By midnight, we'll drop all precipitation chances. We will be dry on Thursday, but skies will be mostly cloudy. Look for high temperatures to be in the mid-30s. We start off Thursday in the 20s for most of the area.We're mostly cloudy on Thursday, with highs in the 30s. We will then be tracking another weather system Thursday night into Friday, bringing occasional snow showers. Highs Friday will be in the low-to-mid 30s. Some accumulation is possible from this system, so stay tuned for updates. At this point, we could see up to around an inch of snow. Temperatures continue to fall into the weekend, with highs only in the 20s. Wear those coats! We're cold and dry this weekend. Next week, we will see the opposite temperature trend. We're looking at above average temperatures and rain chances, which means our odds of a White Christmas this year are looking quite low...
