Seraphim: "John Wick" style film shot in Colorado Springs
Dec 18, 2024
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Seraphim, a feature film in the style of the John Wick movies, was shot entirely in Colorado Springs, sourcing cast, crew, and filming locations from the local area. On Wednesday, Dec. 18, Loving Living Local's Krista Witiak sat down with directors Adrian Bennett and Elena Henry to talk about the process of filming in Colorado Springs.
Viewers can expect intense action sequences, compelling characters, and a gripping storyline, all showcasing the incredible talent and creativity in Colorado Springs.
"Keeping everything local wasn’t just practical—it was intentional," said Bennett. "We wanted to celebrate and support the businesses, locations, and people who make our city special. From props bought at local stores to meals catered by neighborhood restaurants, every detail reflects our pride in Colorado Springs."

Seraphim was a zero-budget film, forcing the creators to be resourceful. They relied heavily on the generosity and collaboration of the local community.
"Businesses opened their doors for us to film, restaurants provided delicious meals for our cast and crew, and our talented team poured their hearts into every aspect of production," said Bennett. "It’s incredible to see how much can be achieved when passionate people come together with a shared vision."

The Rising Star Stunt Team out of New Mexico donated their time to work with the actors to elevate the action sequences. Stunt Coordinator Gary Choi choreographed stunts, trained actors, and performed as a stuntman in the film.
"One standout aspect was the work done with our youngest actress, Lilliana Henry, who was just 10 years old during filming," said Henry. "She trained in the style of the Ruska Roma to authentically portray her character, Ariana De Alma. Gary designed and taught the choreography to reflect this unique fighting style, and Lilliana’s dedication to the role shines on screen."
A red carpet premiere of the film takes place on January 18 at 6 p.m. at the Colorado Springs City Hub, with the opportunity to meet the cast and crew, view a screening of the film, and attend a live Q&A with the filmmakers. The filmmakers will also announce the primary cast of their next project - a horror film- at the premiere.
