(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — The Fountain Police Department (FPD) is reporting a person is dead after a car crash the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 18. FPD was dispatched to a crash in the 6900 block of Mesa Ridge Parkway involving two cars. One of the passengers was taken to the hospital where they succumbed to injuries from the crash. Due to the nature of the crash, the Major Crash Team responded and is assuming the investigation. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
