CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)—Christmas is officially one week away! With the holiday on the horizon, many people have time off from school or work. If you find yourself with free time and a desire to see Christmas lights, here are some of the best places to catch them in the Lowcountry. Holiday Festival of Lights James Island County Park, Nov. 15 to Dec. 31, 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Drive through dozens of festive lights displays across the park or park and hop out to explore Santa’s Village. Once at the village, tell Santa your gift wishes while sipping on a steamy cup of hot chocolate. Guests can also explore the light festival by train or take a spin on the carousel. The Bee City Zoo will be decked out in seasonal lights into the new year. Visitors can also chat with Santa or the Grinch on select days. Santee Cooper’s Holiday Lights Driving Tour Old Santee Canal Park, Nov. 29 to Dec. 30, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Support local charities and take a cruise by thousands of sparkling lights in Moncks Corner. Tickets are $10 per vehicle and $20 per bus, and the money goes to benefit local charities. The RED HOUSE of Summers Corner Summerville Stop by this Summerville home entirely covered in festive lights like a surfing Santa, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sven from Frozen pulling a Mickey and Minnie in his slay, and more.
