COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A Columbus-based clothing company is closing its doors months after being a driving force in rallying the hockey community together. The Columbus Apparel Co. said on social media Tuesday it will shut down its facility located off Billingsley Road. Although an exact closing date hasn't been announced, it said all existing orders would be printed and shipped. The clothing company recently partnered with popular podcast, "CBJ Artillery", to create a clothing line after the death of Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau. All of the proceeds from the "Johnny Hockey" themed clothing sales were donated by "CBJ Artillery" to Madeline and Tripp Gaudreau. As of Sept. 17, Columbus Apparel Co. had reported over $124,000 in donations.
