WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed three times during a robbery in Southeast, D.C. Tuesday night, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The police report obtained by DC News Now states that around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 17, the man was walking near the 4000 block of 6th Street when two people approached him. 9 people hurt, 1 dead in shooting at Towson funeral home, police say The man told D.C. police that the suspects told him to give them his belongings. That's when the pair attacked him. During the scuffle, one of the suspects took out a bladed object and stabbed the man three times in the upper side of his stomach, according to police. Police said the pair then took cash and debit cards out of the man's wallet before running toward the 600 block of Chesapeake Street. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown, as of Wednesday morning.
