A Winter Holiday Celebration at the Library of Congress December 2628!
Dec 18, 2024
The Library of Congress has been hosting monthly Family Days throughout the fall and continuing them into winter with timely themes — Halloween, Hispanic Heritage Month, Veterans Day, Winter Holidays — and connected to the Libraries’ collections. During these special days, families and visitors of all ages can enjoy hands-on activities for budding researchers and explore exhibitions on display in the Thomas Jefferson Building.
This month’s program is a Winter Holiday Celebration — and perfectly timed for Winter Break. Taking place over three days, from December 26-28, this is one to put on your family’s agenda as you’re planning activities with the kids while they’re off from school.
During these special days, guests can create holiday cards, bookmarks, and more using beautiful imagery from Library’s winter-themed collections as inspiration. This Family Day will be hosted for three days starting on Thursday, December 26 through Saturday, December 28. Activities will be held on the mezzanine level of the Library’s Jefferson Building 10:30am – 3:30 each day. The event is free, but passes are required for the Jefferson Building.

This post is sponsored by the Library of Congress, however, I only promote programs, events, and places that I genuinely believe in and think would appeal to KFDC readers.
