Dale Bros. Brewery. Last Name Brewing. And now, Mt. Baldy Brewery. The brewery at 2120 Porterfield Way, Upland, is no longer owned by the Dale brothers. It’s now owned by Robby Ellingson, whose family is the longtime owner of the Mt. Baldy Lodge. The new name recalls Old Baldy Brewery, which operated in downtown Upland from the late 20th century a few years into the 21st. You’ll still find Last Name branding around the brewery (and if you know where to look, Dale Bros. as well), but I suspect that will change soon. And yes, you can still order a Pomona Queen, but new beers are already being produced. For now, the Surname Drinking Society also remains, with a bonus for next year. Annual membership, $99, includes two custom engraved mugs — one to keep at the brewery and one to take home — and 20-ounce pours for the price of a pint all year long. Members also get a 20% discount on merch and early access to ticketed events and special release brews. And the bonus? A year’s membership to Club Baldy, a $300 value, with exclusive discounts at the Mt. Baldy Resort. Brewery hours are noon-8 p.m. Sunday, 2-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 2-10 p.m. Friday and noon-10 p.m. Saturday. New in Ontario A new poke restaurant has opened in Ontario.
