Sunny Start, Leading Up To a Wet Wednesday Night!
Dec 18, 2024
We’re waking up to the 30s and sunshine this morning– not a bad start to our Wednesday! We’ll keep the sunshine around through the afternoon, although clouds will increase later. High temperatures will be above average in the upper 40s and low 50s.
Late Wednesday evening (around 8/9 PM or so), our next round of rain arrives. We’ll start with showers, intensifying to heavier rainfall closer to midnight. Thankfully for commuters, this storm is in and out pretty quickly! Rain tapers off around 4 AM, leaving us with a breezy but dry commute on Thursday morning.
Clouds clear out throughout Thursday morning, and we’ll actually have some sun by the afternoon! Temperatures won’t be quite as warm, with highs in the low to mid 40s.
Friday is colder, with high temperatures only in the mid to upper 30s. This is important to note, as a storm off the coast could throw some moisture our way Friday evening into Saturday morning… and with that extra cold air, it could result in a few snow showers. While is event certainly won’t set any records, it could leave us with a little coating of winter white on the ground as you wake up on Saturday.
Temperatures decline rapidly at this point– highs on Saturday will only be in the low 30s. Then, Sunday and Monday, we’ll be in the 20s! Even with the sunshine, both days will be bitter cold. Bundle up!
