CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Two people are accused of cutting and stealing utility pole cables in Clay County. The sheriff’s office says 52-year-old Patricia Wagers and 46-year-old Dennie Taylor were arrested last week on criminal mischief charges. Officials say the suspects were allegedly seen loading cables from utility poles into the back of a pick-up truck on South Highway 421. Investigators say the cables and wire cutters were allegedly found in plain sight in the back of the truck after the couple was pulled over for a traffic stop.
