Wake Forest set to hire Washington State's Jake Dickert as head football coach

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Wake Forest University is set to hire its next head football coach.
Demon Deacon Digest reports that Washington State University's Jake Dickert has agreed to become the next head coach of Wake Forest football.
Longtime WFU head coach Dave Clawson stepped down from the position on Monday creating a vacancy the Demon Deacons have acted swiftly to fill.
Dickert, 41, has been the head coach at Washington State since 2022. He served as interim head coach in 2021 taking over for the team's final six games of that season.

In his three-and-a-half seasons at Washington State, Dickert went 23-20. The Cougars went 8-4 this season.
