SWAT arrests man accused of murder in WinstonSalem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is now in custody and is being accused of murder in the shooting death of a Winston-Salem man, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
At around 5:49 a.m., the WSPD responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Indiana Avenue and found one person suffering from gunshot wounds.

Jeremy Obrien McClure, 39, of Winston-Salem, died due to his injuries.
Investigators said at the time that McClure's death was not a random act of violence and began their search for the suspect.
On Tuesday night, the WSPD's SWAT team, Gun Crime Reduction Unit, Criminal Investigation Division and Gang Unit conducted a search warrant at an apartment on the 700 block of Ferrell Court.
As a result of that search warrant, 29-year-old Kivaughn Stacker was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony murder and misdemeanor resist, delay and obstruct an officer.

Stacker was taken to the detention center where he is being held without bond.
