CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates again this week for the final time of 2024. In recent months, the average price gains have stayed elevated. According to the Labor Department, consumer prices jumped up 2.7% for the 12 months ending in November. Today marks the Federal Reserve’s Open Market Committee final meeting of the year. Following the meeting, Federal Reserve Board Chairman, Jerome Powell, will hold a press conference. If Powell announced another interest rate cut it would mark the third rate cut of the year.
