Good morning! Wasn't yesterday afternoon beautiful? We'll continue to have dry weather today, but we have more rain on the way for tonight. Looking ahead, we have some really cold weather headed our way for the weekend into early next week. Also....we've got an early look at Christmas Eve! We'll stay dry through the day, however. Hour by Hour // A close look at the upcoming conditions » We're tracking an area of low pressure in the Mississippi River Valley this morning. That low will track across Southern New England tonight, bringing a period of rain starting after the evening commute. So today, we'll be dry with afternoon highs around 50 -- not as mild as yesterday, but still well above average. The average for today is 42. | | BEACH AND BOATING FORECASTS TONIGHT Clouds continue to stream in early this evening and we'll see some rain showers arrive after 7PM with a widespread rain arriving after 9PM. That rain will continue for awhile overnight...mostly ending by 3-4AM. We'll have to watch the temperatures closely late in the night as they could come close to the freezing mark, especially in northern Rhode Island and northern Bristol County, MA. TOMORROW We'll clear out very early and we'll have plenty of sun through the day. It'll be a little cooler tomorrow with highs in the mid 40s. LOOKING AHEAD Expect lots of clouds for Friday (some sun), and some rain/wet snow showers are possible by late in the day. Then, colder air moves in for the weekend...just in time for the start of winter! Looking farther down the road, Santa is now on the 7 Day Forecast! We may actually see some festive snow flakes on Christmas Eve....it's a long way away and day 7 of the 7 Day can change significantly. It's something to watch for, however. -Meteorologist T.J.
