We finally were able to enjoy some sunshine on Tuesday! When you combined the sun with temperatures still above average, it was a nice December day! Skies have changed though this morning, as we are tracking a weak weather system moving through the area. Rain and snow showers can be expected as you're heading out and about this morning, although do not anticipate them to cause many concerns in terms of travel impacts. A few slick spots are possible though, especially on bridges, so exercise extra caution on the roads to be safe. Scattered rain/snow shower activity this morning could create a few slick spots. Little snow/ice accumulation is anticipated and the system is gone by around lunchtime today. During the afternoon, clouds will linger and there may be a few additional stray snow showers, as a result of gusty northwesterly winds blowing over Lake Michigan. We could see some gusts up to 25 mph at times. High temperatures will drop back into the upper 30s today.
