BONITA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- An investigation is underway after two people were found dead Tuesday inside a vehicle in Bonita. Around 11:12 a.m., authorities received a call about an unresponsive person inside a car in the area of Orchard Hill Road and Cresta Verde Lane, Lt. Michael Krugh with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. When deputies arrived on scene, they found two people dead inside of the parked vehicle. Man mauled to death by own dogs identified "Due to the suspicious nature of the incident, the Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation," Krugh said. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of the deceased.
