SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- San Diego FC on Tuesday released its full preseason schedule for the 2025 Major League Soccer season.
Starting Feb. 8, the new expansion team will compete in the franchise's first public match, facing off against New York City FC at 12 p.m. at the Coachella Valley Invitational.
The preseason exhibition tournament, located at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., will be the site of two other SDFC games -- one on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. versus the Portland Timbers, and another on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. against the New York Red Bulls.
Prior to the Coachella Valley Invitational, SDFC players will begin to report to preseason camp for entry medicals on Friday, Jan. 11.
These new California driving laws take effect in 2025
Then on Monday, Jan. 17, the team will hold its first official preseason media availability at the SDFC Performance Center located in El Cajon on Sycuan tribal land.
On Saturday, Jan. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 1, San Diego FC will play in two closed-door preseason matches against the Phoenix Rising and Sacramento Republic, respectively.
Following those closed-door matches, the team will head to the Coachella Valley Invitational.
Fans who want passes for SDFC's matches at Coachella can purchase tickets on Wednesday at 12 p.m.
