HS Boys Basketball Wrap: Robbinsville runs past Nottingham for first win

HAMILTON — The Robbinsville High boys basketball team bounced back from a rough outing its season opener to defeat Nottingham, 63-40, on Tuesday night in CVC Colonial Division play.
The Ravens (1-1) got smacked by Valley Division favorite West Windsor North in their opener, but Tyler Bunnell quickly righted the ship with 18 points as they got past the inexperienced Northstars (1-1) at the Galaxy.
Liam Butler added 12 points and Dylan McEvoy finished with 10 for the Ravens.
Chris Dormevil led Nottingham with 13 points.
Hightstown 60, Princeton 44
PRINCETON — Jason Whitlock scored 25 points, Chase Deutsch added 12 and the Rams (1-1) pulled away form the Tigers (0-1) in the second half in CVC Colonial Division action. Michael Bees Jr. paced Princeton with 19 points.
PDS 66, Allentown 56
PRINCETON — Gary Jennings led four players in double figures with 15 points, Zalin Pack added 14 and Daniel Rozenblat and Adam Stewart finished with 10 each as the Panthers (1-0) got off to a winning start in CVC Valley play by beating the Redbirds (0-1). Mattox Watson had a game-high 26 for Allentown.

PRINCETON JCT. — Cameron Jones netted 14 points, Josiah Cureton scored 12 and Nihan Palla added 10 as the Pirates (1-2) used a big third quarter to take the lead and then held off the Hornets (0-2). Sean Turner had 20 points to lead Hamilton and Nakye Bradshaw finished with 15.
Lawrence 74, Steinert 49
LAWRENCE — Marvin McNeil poured in 21 points, Josh Wilson added 14 and the Cardinals (1-2) moved on from a pair of losses to get their first victory in convincing fashion over the Spartans (0-2). Thomas Ditta and Jonathan Weaver had 11 points each for Steinert.

COLUMBUS — Kenny Huguely tallied 21 points, Erick Torres and Tarun Aravind had 12 each and the Greyhounds (1-0) cruised to a victory over the Lions (1-1).
