SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Former District 5 Savannah Alderman City of Savannah died on Monday, Dec. 16 while in hospice care. Clifton Jones Junior served on the Savannah City Council for 16 years and was a lifetime Savannah resident. He graduated from Beach High School and Savannah State College. "May his memory be a blessing," Mayor Van Johnson said on Tuesday. Celebration of life services will be announced at a later time.
