Albuquerque Fire Rescue unveils new brush fire unit

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new truck is joining the Albuquerque Fire Rescue fleet. The fast attack engine will replace the type 6 brush truck borrowed from AFR's Wildland Division that was used to respond to brush fires.

AFR said the new truck will be more suitable and comfortable for crews who answer almost 30 calls every 24 hours. So far, crews working in the outside fire response program have been called to nearly 500 outside fires this month.
