Skateboarder and ramp designer Tim Payne shares his secrets at Orlando Museum of Art lecture
Dec 17, 2024
Orlando Museum of Art continues their innovative run of programming springing from the J. Grant Brittain skateboarding photo retrospective Push with a lecture from a local who's been active in the skateboarding scene for decades. "From Skateparks to Set Design: A Journey of Creativity, Innovation and Adventure" features presenter Tim Payne, president of Team Pain Skate Parks and ramp designer to the skateboarding stars. Besides being a skateboarding mainstay in the Orlando area for decades, Payne has built daredevil vert ramps for the X Games, aided and abetted the Jackass crew with set-piece designs and designed the ramp for Tony Hawk's 900 trick (a two-and-a-half-revolution or 900-degree aerial spin).
