BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Throughout the 2024 high school football season, students, parents, alumni, and community fans voted on which high school band is their favorite. After 13 weeks of competing during the Football Friday Nights, the Live Oak High School "Krewe of Blue" Band took home the inaugural Fox 44 Battle of the Bands award after beating out 30 other high school bands across the area, including the Brusly High School "Panther Sound" Band in the championship. The Fox 44 crew made the trip to Live Oak High School to present the winning band its trophy and some Fat Boy's Pizza.
